Caregivers fill a critical need
Being a caregiver may be one of the most important roles you ever have.
You are not alone on this journey.
It is crucial for you, as a caregiver, to know and understand how your personal support system works, which will help you access assistance more efficiently. A supportive care team is a key component of a loved one’s plan of care.
Outside of family and friends, government programs, nonprofits, and community resources are available for assistance. Caregivers often need a trusted and reliable source to turn to, along with an extra set of hands.
Whether caring for an aging senior, a loved one with special healthcare needs, or a Veteran, you may need assistance with one or more daily activities. Sentara Medicare plans can provide support with basic daily activites, including:
- Grocery shopping
- Board games
- Meal preparation
- Light housework
- Tech help
- Pet help
