New members will receive various materials over the first few weeks of membership to help you navigate their plan. This includes a member ID card, Quick Start Guide, and benefit materials.

Your member ID card
Your Sentara Medicare member ID card gives you access to healthcare services and includes important phone numbers. You’ll bring this card with you to all your doctor’s visits and when you pick up prescriptions. If you ever lose your member ID card, you can request a new one online, through our mobile app, or by calling member services.

October 1 through March 31, 7 days per week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

After business hours and on weekends and holidays our automated phone system will answer your call.

Your Healthy Highlights member newsletter is available from anywhere and includes topics like health news and tips, and benefit features.

*Medicare approved Sentara Medicare to provide some of these rewards as part of the Value-Based Insurance Design Program. This program lets Medicare try new ways to improve Medicare Advantage plans. Rewards cannot be used to buy tobacco or alcohol. Rewards cannot be converted to cash. You can only receive one reward per applicable service per plan year. Rewards are not available to Sentara Medicare Savings (HMO) plan members
