The HEAL Program® is a free class series open to our members and the public. In this program you will gain a better understanding of how to manage your health and build healthy habits.

Classes are led by Sentara Health Plans instructors and offer interactive learning on topics like:
  • describing your symptoms to a doctor
  • reading and understanding your prescriptions
  • choosing whether to go to urgent care or the emergency room
  • comparing nutrition facts on food labels
  • filling out medical history forms

Classes meet weekly, with 10 classes in a series. You must register for each class you plan to attend. Attendance to all 10 classes is strongly encouraged, but not required.
