You can choose to receive messages about your health and health plan on your mobile device, including benefits updates, tips, appointment reminders, and other information Sentara Health Plans or its representatives believe may interest or be relevant to you, which may include surveys and marketing messages to promote products and services provided by Sentara Health Plans. To receive your first text message from Sentara Health Plans with important information, sign in to the Sentara Health Plans Member Portal or call Member Services. 

By opting in to receive text messages, selecting the checkbox for "Yes, I want to receive text messages" and "I accept the Phone Notifications and Consent," you authorize Sentara Health Plans, its affiliates, service providers, and representatives to contact you at any phone number you have provided to us, including mobile phone numbers. If you are not the subscriber to the phone number you provided, then you agree that you have obtained the subscriber's consent to receive these communications.  Communications directed to these phone numbers may be conducted using automated dialing/delivery devices, direct dial, text message, SMS or RCS messages, ringless voicemail, push notifications, and prerecorded or artificial voices. Content contained within these communications, which may include health information, will not be encrypted. Sentara Health Plans will not charge you for these communications, and you are not required to agree to receive these communications to receive health care or to be a Sentara member. Carrier message and data rates may apply. You may revoke your consent at any time.
