Ask about our doula services. A doula is a person who offers non-clinical pregnancy-related services throughout your pregnancy, at labor and delivery, and during your postpartum period, including:
- emotional support
- childbirth education
- breastfeeding support
Benefits and coverage for doula services include getting:
- up to nine visits, including four prenatal, four postpartum, and one delivery visit
- connected to health and social services
- culturally informed care

The Mommy and Me Welcoming Wardrobe helps Sentara Health Plans Community Plan members access free, new, or gently-used clothing during pregnancy, early parenthood, or times of change.
Whether you’re getting ready to welcome a new baby, caring for little ones, or returning to work, we’re here to help you feel comfortable, confident, and prepared.
What you can receive
If you’re a Community Plan member, you can request:
- Maternity clothing for your pregnancy.
- Clothing for newborns, toddlers, and young children.
- Professional outfits for job interviews or new jobs.
- Extra support if you’re facing urgent changes at home.
How it works
- Call your Medical Outreach or Welcoming BabySM community health worker to tell them what you need.
- We prepare clothing based on your specific needs and location.
- A team member sets up a time to deliver the clothing to you.
About the clothing
- We collect new or gently-used clothing through donations and community partners.
- We wash and inspect every item to ensure it’s clean and in great condition.
- We prepare each item so it’s fresh, neat, and ready for you and your family.
